8 Heads in a Duffel Bag
I just watched this for the first time ever. I seriously could kick myself for not watching this earlier. VERY VERY VERY FUNNY.
Bongwater
Bongwater(1997) ;eaves 981 movies left to watch. Thats honestly about all I can say for it.
The Stoned Age
The Stoned Age(1994) directed by James Melkonian. I rememember watching this on the movie channel when I was about 15. i watched it cause there was naked chicks in it. definitely not much on an intelectual level. not a whole lot in the way of good cinematography, but this is what it was suppost to be like growing up in the 70's or 80's in Southern California. never been there cant tell you. but you should watch this cause crumps brother says so. hes just some dude.
The Hurricane
The Hurricane(1999) is a story about boxer Rubin Carter who was put in jail for a murder he did not commit. this is a good story and Denzel does a good job playing the character but i have recently developed a bad taste for Denzel movies.
All About The Benjamins
All about the Benjamins(2002). Ice cube is one of the few rappers I have seen step into the acting role that can pull it off. I have never seen one of his movies that wasnt remotely entertaining at the least. this one coupled with Mike Epps is pretty funny. I like their characters and they work together pretty well. this movie will never insight world peace but it aint a bad movie.
Road Warrior
The Road Warrior(1981) aka Mad Max 2 is the sequel to Mad Max. The movie takes place in a post apocolyptic world where people fight over precious gasoline. I remember loving these movies when I was a kid. I thought this was an awesome movie. however as I am finding recently as I go back and see films that i loved as a kid some of these movies suck. yes I still admit that I do like the mad max movies it amazes me how much homoerotic material is in this picture. there is so many half naked leather clad men in this movie its kind of scary. its kind of like watching the Village People go to Hell

Zimmerman Flew, Tyler Knew
Turk 182(1985) directed by Bob Clark. Starring Timothy Hutton, Robert Urich, and Kim Catrall.
An off duty firefighter is injured while rescuing a little girl. however he is not allowed his pension since he Had been drinking. his brother tries to get the attention of city officials to rectify the situation. When he is blown off by the mayor he begins a vandalism streak that embarrasses the mayor and in the process could cost the mayor his reelection. movie has a lot of anti establishment and down with the man kind of sentiments. have always liked this movie, saw it when i was younger and still like it today.

America stands for freedom but if you think you're free try walking into a deli and urinating on the cheese!
The Anarchist Cookbook(2002). wow. I like this movie alot. Directed by Jordan Susman. this movie follows a group of anarchists who protest and try to educate people to their beliefs in trying to make a better world to live in. until one day a new face arrives. enter Johnny Black. this man being a nhilist slowly takes over the group and shifts it into a new direction until the entire group tends more to nhilism. has an interesting ending one that i was somewhat expecting. I can relate to this film in more ways than one, maybe thats why i liked it so much.
When there is no room left in Hell the dead shall walk the Earth....
Dawn of the Dead(2004) directed by Zack Snyder. This movie is based on George A Romero's Dawn of the Dead. this is from one of my favorite horror genres the zombie movie. nothing is more terrifying than being surrounded by blood thirsty walking dead.
in a town overrun by zombies a small group of people hold up in the local mall for months. when supplies run out and they have no choice they decide to make a run for it. they are headed for a remote island in hopes that there are survivors. however it would appear that that will not work out.
this movie pays homage to several other movies of the zombie genre. movies such as Night of the Living Dead(1968), Pink Flamingos(1972), and Cannibal Holocaust(1980) just to name a few. this film does great justice to the zombie movie. there is panic, stupidity and great amounts of terror and struggle. this is a terrifying movie and the first time i watched it i did nothing but plan my zombie strategy over and over again for about three days. everyone should have one.

From the mind of George A. Romero
Viewed Monkey Shines(1988) directed and screenplay written by George A Romero. starring Jason Beghe, and John Pankow.
When A track star is paralyzed his friend who does research on monkeys brings him a Capuchin monkey to help out around the house. Alan Mann(Beghe) falls in love with the monkey Ella. as their relationship grows a connection is growing with them. His friend Geoffrey(Pankow)has been injecting the monkey with a syrum of human brain tissue to make the monkey smarter. behaving like a human the connection between man and beast grows so close that Alan is able to see through the monkey and thoughts he has had begin to come true. the monkey goes out and kills people because he has thought about it. this is yet again one of Romeros great works. the helplessness of Alan just adds to the suspense and horror of this film. at times it is nerve racking and very scary.

Fifteen bucks little man put that shit in my hand............
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back(2001)
Kevin Smith has made some entertaining films. this one you can tell he definitely called in ALOT of favors to make. it is covered up with cameos from some very big named has beens from Hollywood.
I have been known to be a Kevin Smith fan, and while I did find myself laughing at some of the shit in this movie i would have to say that it is not his best. it does however tie just about all of the Kevin Smith universe together, but then again so do most of his movies.

Hancock only 992 to go.
Hancock(2008). directed by Peter Berg. I am a big fan of Berg's work, I thought he was a good actor but he has made a great director. This movie starring Will Smith while not the most profound and impacting piece of film out of Hollywood was still entertaining. its got comedy and drama, with just a touch of action. not a bad movie however wont be disappointed if I don't catch it again.
Employee of the Month
Last night i watched Employee of the Month(2004). directed by Mitch Rouse.
starring Matt Dillon, Steve Zahn, Christina Applegate, and Dave Foley.
This movie is amazing. it is about a bank employee who has the worst possible day ever. he loses his job then comes home to find that his fiance is dumping him only because she found out he was screwing the maid of honor. he hashes out a plan to go kill his boss at the bank. but the guys robbing the bank have other plans.
this movie is shot very well, has a great story, and you will be interested throughout the whole thing. its dark, its funny and the ending is possibly the best twist I have ever seen in a movie. gotta see it.

A wealthy author suffering from a terminal illness invites his closest friends to his island home to share an experience with them. after the death of his wife Roland Levy(Henriksen) goes on a journey around the world to hide from his sadness. His trip ends in the Amazon where he is taken to a medicine man who poisons him. the medicine man tells him that he must let go of all of his life's lies and wrongdoings or else he will die. facing the fear of death he experiences a complete release. upon waking the next morning he discovers that he has been given the antidote and he feels like a reborn man.

this movie is excellent, i have seen it once before and it did not disappoint once again. i suggest this for anyone. very good view.

Oh Southern Comfort
Last night early this morning I watched the movie Southern Comfort(1981). it was directed by Walter Hill. Starring Keith Carradine, Powers Booth and Fred Ward. the movie is set in the Louisiana swamps during the early 70's. A National Guard training exercise goes wrong when the unit borrows some canoes from some cajuns without letting them know. when one of the idiot soldiers fires blanks at the cajuns to scare them they shoot the Sgt in the head an dkill him. the movie surrounds these soldiers as they try to find their way out of the sawmp but the cajuns will have other plans for them. very good movie and the soundtrack is awesome. the film was scored by Ry Cooder who is famous both for Walter Hill movies as well as other soundtracks. he is an amazing guitar player.
always be closing
For my fourth film I viewed Boilder Room(2000). This movie has a cast of big names and is written very well. It follows a young college dropout Seth(Giovanni Ribisi). he is the son of a judge who wants nothing more than his dad to be proud of him. he goes to work for a stock brokerage firm to make his dad happy. this place turns out to be ab illegal operation which does nothing but cause more problems for seth.
This movies is in your face and full of one liners. the movie shows what ruthless sales people are all about, never take no for an answer. I used to sell cars and anyone who had little to no sales experience was required to watch this movie.

2 for the road only 998 miles to go
For my second film I watched the independent film Highway(2002). Directed by James Cox, and written by Scott Rosenberg.
This is a road film starring Jared Leto, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Selma Blair. also represented by a small part is Jeremy Piven. this cast brings an interesting film that haves comedy, sex, violence, a love triangle, and enough drug use to get anyone a contact buzz. I have seen this film a few times and it hasn't disappointed yet.

1 down 999 to go
Well I had plans to watch several movies on New Years day but it didn't work out that way. I only got to watch one. the first movie on the list was Kill Bill vol. 1(2003). Directed by Quentin Tarantino. Written by Tarantino and Uma Thurman. This movie as many of you know came as a two part series. it is set up very much like a comic book and is a revenge themed film. This is one of my favorite Tarantino movies. I will definitely view the second one in the future of the year. just not sure when.
There will be more Tarantino films along the way. I intend to watch all of his work this year. I have seen a strong portion of it but there are still a few I have not seen. well I'm off now to see if I cant whittle a few more off the list. good day.
